Music composer, singer Priyanath Rathnayake to be honored at Universal Merit Awards 2024

Renowned Sri Lankan music composer and singer Priyanath Rathnayake is set to be honored at the Universal Merit Awards 2024. Rathnayake, known for his prolific contributions to music both in Sri Lanka and internationally, will receive recognition for his extensive body of work which includes hundreds of songs that have resonated across various countries.

Expressing his joy over this prestigious honor, Rathnayake told The PinkCity Post that being honoured at such an international event in Sri Lanka brings immense pride and joy to the nation. The awards ceremony is scheduled for August 7, 2024, at the BMICH International Convention Center in Colombo.

Former President and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa, will grace the occasion as the chief guest, with Deputy Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament, Ajith Rajapakse, attending as the special guest.

The event will be directed by acclaimed Indian film director Dushyant Pratap Singh and organized by the Allso Group of India. Prof. Kartik Rawal, President of Allso Group and the chief promoter of the award program, has spearheaded the organization of this prestigious event. Franchise Batao founder Ashish Kumar Aggarwal will serve as the executive producer, and Astrologer Praveen Kumar Joshi will co-organize the event.

Talents from 12 countries have been invited to participate in the Universal Merit Awards 2024. Prof. Kartik Rawal emphasized the importance of the event, stating that it aims to provide an international platform and recognition to talents excelling in various fields globally.
